Yeboah shared the milestone with Nigeria’s Temitope Adeshina, as both athletes successfully cleared the 1.92m height.

Meanwhile, Ghanaian sprinter Anita Afrifa was also in record-breaking form, clocking an impressive 23.26s in the 200m indoor race at the 2025 Steve Miller Invitational in Kansas, USA.

Her time shattered the previous Ghanaian indoor record of 23.34s, set by Flings Owusu-Agyapong in 2016, and also stood as a meeting record.

Afrifa, a student-athlete at Colby Community College, is under the mentorship of Head Coach Clinton Fletcher, and her rapid progress suggests she could be a rising force in Ghanaian sprinting.

Adding to the streak of remarkable performances, Alex Amankwah rewrote Ghana’s indoor 800m record, clocking a sensational 1:45.82 minutes at the 2025 Millrose Games in New York, USA.
