Black Stars legend Asamoah Gyan has urged players of Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team to go 100% to beat Madagascar.
He said this in his speech delivered to the team ahead of Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Madagascar on Monday, March 24 at 19:00 GMT in Morocco.
Ghana go into the contest as Group I leaders with 12 points from five games with Madagascar ranked second in the group and Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has described the game as a “small final”. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
For Asamoah Gyan, who played at three FIFA World Cups, his presence at the Black Stars camp in Morocco with fellow legend Stephen Appiah is to give the players the “little push”.
“Let’s go 100%. I want Ghanaians to see you guys heckling and fighting…the results will come.”

“Please that is all I want from you guys. You have great players, the talent, everything is there but that commitment just a little small push we will get there. Me and my colleagues, the coaching staff, everybody has confidence in you guys…the reason why we are here is to push you” Gyan said.
