A representative of DUNK Grassroots- a sports for development organization-Bismark Voegborlo, has stated that the organization is looking forward to collaborate more with other sports programs in the future.
He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports on the sidelines of DUNK’s collaboration with Africa Tennis Connect Foundation held recently to celebrate International Women’s Day at DUNK’s branch at Agege, a suburb in Ghana’s capital, Accra and promote tennis and basketball.
DUNK’s female basketball ambassadors were taken through some basic training in tennis by female volunteers from Africa Tennis Connect to celebrate the big day for women and Voegborlo was pleased with the outcome and welcomed more collaborations in the coming years.
“You see the ladies, they seem excited, they seem to enjoy it. It’s a day for them to do anything aside basketball, they seem to be enjoying it and I do think this was a great collaboration and I look forward to more of these.”

On her part, founder of Africa Tennis Connect Foundation, Naa Shika Adu, acknowledged the importance of the collaboration stating, “It was very important for us to connect and give these young girls an opportunity to interact with different sports.”

The aforementioned program is part of Africa Tennis Connect’s Street Tennis Program that aims at popularizing the sport of tennis by reaching underprivileged societies in Ghana.
