Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has praised the resilience and quality of Heart of Lions following their 1-1 stalemate in a fiercely contested Matchday 26 encounter of the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors were held to a draw at the Kpando Park, a result that keeps them two points clear at the top of the league table.
In a post-match interview with the club’s media team, Dr. Ogum acknowledged the strength of Bashiru Hayford’s side, describing them as a “very formidable team” with strong defensive organization that makes them difficult to break down, especially on their home turf.

I think if you look at Hearts of Lions they are doing very well in the league . They are a very good side , a very formidable side .
They have a very good defensive network . So it’s very difficult to score against them.
So playing in Kpando ,with them having the 12th man ,and we taking the lead ,and them coming back . Having a point here is okay .
Kotoko took the lead through midfielder Justice Blay, who netted his second goal of the season. However, Hearts of Lions responded swiftly, with Ali Fawaz grabbing the equalizer to ensure both sides shared the spoils.

With 46 points from 25 games, Asante Kotoko remain firmly in control of the title race as the season heads into its final stretch.
Heart of Lions, meanwhile, have slipped to sixth on the table, collecting 38 points from 24 matches, but continue to pose a significant threat to any opponent in the league.
