A handful of players from French Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon, have shared supportive messages to teammate Ernest Nuamah after the latter suffered an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury.
The Ghanaian winger has been ruled out for the rest of the 2024-2025 season after the serious injury was confirmed by Lyon.
Nuamah picked up the injury in the seventh minute in Lyon’s 2-1 win over Lille; his replacement, Rayan Cherki, scored the winning goal that moved Lyon to fourth place in the standings.

Following the announcement of Nuamah’s injury, Lyon players showed support to their teammate with encouraging words on social media platforms .
Clinton Mata wrote, You’ll bounce back stronger than ever” while Malick Fofana wrote, “Stay strong bro” with Rayan Cherki and Georges Mikautadze putting up similar messages.

Prior to the injury, Nuamah had six goals with two assists in 33 games in all competitions.
