Rugby League Federation Ghana (RLFG) proudly kicked off its 2025 Rugby League 13s Championship Season with a series of dynamic and historic events over the weekend.

The celebrations began on Saturday, April 12, with a Preseason Boot Camp dubbed D’stress at the Military Academy Training School in Teshie.

The physically intense session brought together players from all participating clubs for a rigorous morning of drills, fitness testing, team-building activities, and professional conditioning — a first-of-its-kind experience in Ghanaian rugby league.

The camp was powered in partnership with Regardless Mode, reinforcing the Federation’s commitment to high-performance preparation and discipline.

The momentum continued on Sunday, April 13, with the official launch of the 2025 Championship Season at the GHOne TV Studios in Accra.

The colourful ceremony attracted key dignitaries and stakeholders within the sporting fraternity, including:

– Madam Juliana Storey, President of Rugby League Federation Ghana

– Mr. James Odoi Mensah, Technical Director at the National Sports Authority (NSA)

-Mr. Hubert Leo Mensah, Acting Head, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit, NSA

-Mr. Riddick Alibah, Greater Accra Regional Manager, RLFG

– Mr Marshall Nortey, Technical Head, RLFC

In her address, RLFG President Madam Juliana Storey emphasised the Federation’s vision for growth, youth engagement, and international competitiveness.

She noted that the 2025 season would mark a transformational phase for Ghanaian rugby league, building on grassroots development, stronger club systems, and broader media partnerships.

The launch also unveiled the lineup for the new season, featuring giants like Bulls RLFC (defending champions), Skolars RLFC, Panthers RLFC, and Tigers RLFC, alongside exciting new entrants UG Titans RLFC and Dragons RLFC.

Representatives from each club, players, media houses, and partners shared in the celebrations, highlighting the spirit of unity and ambition that defines Ghana’s rugby league community.

With the theme “Our League”, the 2025 Rugby League 13s Championship promises thrilling competition, unforgettable moments, and a renewed commitment to excellence.
