Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has expressed worry over the injury situation in his team ahead of a crucial game against Berekum Chelsea.
Kotoko take on Berekum Chelsea on Sunday, May 11 at 18:00 GMT at the TNA Stadium in the semifinals of the MTN FA Cup.
The Porcupine Warriors are looking to win their first FA Cup title since 2017 and the historic competition represents the best possibility for Kotoko to end the 2024-2025 season with a trophy.
Speaking in a pre-game interview, Zito talked about his eagerness to end Kotoko’s FA Cup title wait but highlighted injuries to his players ahead of the weekend’s clash. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
“On the field, we’ve been working towards that [winning the FA Cup]…my worry is that there are injury situations in the team. I don’t like changes because with consistency, you can go places so that’s what I am worried about. When you look at the team, now the injury situation is too big for me to handle” Karim Zito said.

Zito won the MTN FA Cup in the 2022-2023 season while Berekum Chelsea head coach Samuel Boadu won the title twice while leading Accra Hearts of Oak.
