Head coach of Ghana’s Black Stars, Otto Addo, has described the team’s performance against Chad in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier played in N’Djamena as “not good enough”.
He made these remarks in a post-game presser after Ghana drew 1-1 with Chad in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier. Ghana took the lead through Jordan Ayew in the 17th minute but Celestine Ecua’s 88th minute goal pulled Chad even.
After blasting the state of the artificial playing surface of the pitch in Chad, Otto Addo called on his team to perform better in its upcoming World Cup qualifier against Mali on Monday, September 8 in Accra. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
“I can’t say we played excellent or we played well because it was a draw. The result is everything…we had a lot of corners, we did nothing out of that.”

“We had a lot of shots, attempts on goal, we had a lot of ball possession and normally we have to win this game. This in the end, surely, is not good enough and we have to improve especially on our execution” Otto Addo said.
