Mali’s head coach Tom Saintfiet has stated that Ghana shouldn’t have any problems qualifying to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the US, Canada and Mexico.
He said this in a post-game presser after Mali lost 1-0 to Ghana in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers at the Accra Sports Stadium; Ghana’s goal was scored by defender Alexander Djiku in the 49th minute.
The win keeps Ghana in first place in Group I with 19 points from eight games while holding a three point lead over second ranked Madagascar and a four point lead over third ranked Comoros.
Ghana takes on Comoros in its final qualification game on October 11 in Accra and Tom Saintfiet is sure the Black Stars would beat Comoros and qualify to next year’s World Cup.

“Ghana has so many quality players. Look at where the players are playing, look at the choices the coach has on the bench, look at the players who weren’t selected and available so in theory, there can’t be any problem for Ghana to qualify as number one and to beat Comoros” Saintfiet said.

Before playing against Comoros, Ghana will take on Central African Republic on October 8.
