The Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF) is proud to announce that Henry Larbi has been re-appointed to serve on the Wheelchair Tennis Committee of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) for the 2026 and 2027 terms.

Larbi, who was first appointed to the ITF Wheelchair Tennis Committee for the 2024–2025 cycle, received confirmation of his re-appointment on 4 December 2025.

In his new term, he will serve as the only African member on this prestigious global committee, which is responsible for the development and promotion of wheelchair tennis worldwide.

“This re-appointment is a significant honour not only for Henry, but for Ghana and the African continent as a whole,” said Mr. Isaac Abe Duah, President of the Ghana Tennis Federation. “His continued presence on the ITF Wheelchair Tennis Committee ensures that the voice and aspirations of African wheelchair tennis players and programmes are strongly represented at the highest level.”

The ITF Wheelchair Tennis Committee plays a strategic role in shaping policies, competition structures, development pathways, and inclusion initiatives that support wheelchair tennis worldwide.

Larbi’s re-appointment reflects the ITF’s confidence in his contributions during his first term and his commitment to advancing the sport.

“I am deeply honoured to be re-appointed to the ITF Wheelchair Tennis Committee,” said Henry Larbi. “To serve as the only African on this body is both a privilege and a responsibility. I am committed to working with my colleagues to ensure that wheelchair tennis continues to grow in participation, visibility, and opportunity—especially across developing nations and on the African continent.”

Under Larbi’s leadership and advocacy, Ghana has strengthened its profile in wheelchair tennis, with growing participation and increased attention to inclusive tennis development.

His continued involvement at the ITF level is expected to open further avenues for collaboration, technical support, and international exposure for Ghanaian and African athletes.

“The Ghana Tennis Federation will continue to support Henry in his work and leverage his position on the ITF Wheelchair Tennis Committee to enhance wheelchair tennis structures, events, and opportunities in Ghana,” Mr. Duah added.
