Manager of YouTuber-turned-Boxer Jake Paul, Nakisa Bidarian, has confirmed that Paul suffered a broken jaw in his fight with Anthony Joshua and went to hospital.
He said this after Paul lost via a sixth round knockout to Joshua in the widely talked about mismatch of a fight that took place at the Kaseya Center in Miami.
Paul who weighed 26 pounds lighter than Joshua heading into the fight kept circling around Joshua in the early rounds before getting floored twice in the fifth and sixth rounds that ended the fight which is expected to fetch each boxer at least $40 million.
Speaking after the bout, Bidarian said Paul had suffered a broken jaw in the fight but was okay enough to drive himself to a hospital.
“We think he broke his jaw but he’s fine. He took a shower, he drove himself to hospital.”
