Arsenal FC manager, Mikel Arteta, has commended his team for rising to the occasion to deliver a “special performance”.
The Gunners clinched its seventh win in seven games in the UEFA Champions League 2025-2026 group stage by beating Inter Milan 3-1 at the San Siro in Italy.
Forwards Gabriel Jesus and Viktor Gyokeres scored to give Arsenal the big win; Gabriel Jesus picked up the Man of the Match Award after scoring twice.
Speaking to Amazon Prime after the game, Mikel Arteta highlighted how impressed he was with his team competing and winning a tough game.
“I’m very proud of the team. We said before the game, we needed a special performance and we’ve certainly done that today.”

“We went to another level and to do it at the San Siro against one of the best teams in Europe is something else. It was about trying to be better than them. They manage and control the games in a very good way, and we knew we would have to do that on the pitch and with subs.”
