Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz has commenced engaging members of Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team, the Black Stars, based in Europe. He kicked off the player engagements when he visited the Black Galaxies training camp
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) confirmed this in a statement released on Tuesday, April 28, explaining that the exercise forms part of the activities ahead of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to the statement, the former Real Madrid head coach has already met with Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew and the deputy captain Thomas Partey.
Queiroz was appointed earlier this month to replace Otto Addo as Black Stars head coach after Ghana lost two international friendlies. Ghana lost 5-1 to Austria and 2-1 to Germany.

Ghana will compete in this year’s World Cup and has been drawn in Group L alongside England, Panama, and Croatia.

Carlos Queiroz has two friendly games against Mexico and Wales to supervise the Black Stars as head coach ahead of the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
