Panama have been drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia and Ghana; despite unveiling its 28 man squad earlier this week, Ghana will announce its official 26 man squad for the World Cup on June 1.
Panama is competing at the World Cup for just the second time after making their debut in 2018 when the competition was held in Russia.
The Central American nation’s squad is headlined by defender Jose Cordoba of Norwich City, Michael Murillo of Turkish Super League side Besiktas and Anibal Godoy of MLS (Major League Soccer) side San Diego FC.
Attacking midfielder Adalberto Carrasquilla has been included in the squad despite getting injured recently during a game involving his side Pumas UNAM in the Mexican League.
The 27 year old is a major creative hub for Panama having won the Golden Ball Award at the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
