After completing what many believed as an improbable comeback, Philadelphia Sixers center Joel Embiid said it felt good to get past the Boston Celtics in the NBA playoffs.
The Sixers beat the Celtics 109-100 in Boston in Game 7 to clinch a 4-3 series win to progress to the second round of the NBA playoffs in the Eastern Conference. Celtics forward Jayson Tatum missed the crucial Game 7 due to discomfort in his knee.
Philadelphia were on the verge of elimination after trailing 3-1 in the series heading to Game 5 but the Sixers rode on the return of Embiid from injury to win three straight games to progress.
After suffering multiple losses in the post season at the hands of the Celtics, Embiid, who registered 34 points, 12 rebounds and six assists in 39 minutes, was elated with the win.

“It feels good to win. Obviously, we got a bigger goal in mind. But finally beating these guys feels pretty good” Embiid said to reporters.

The Sixers take on the New York Knicks in the second round of the playoffs with Game One of the best of seven game series scheduled for Tuesday, May 5.
