Head coach of the Black Stars, Carlos Queiroz, says his team is ready to make people happy by winning as many games as possible.
He said this in his address delivered at a send-off party for the Black Stars as they moved to Rhode Island where they will be based during their campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Queiroz is heading to the World Cup for the fifth time in his career after making multiple trips to the big tournament as Iran head coach. He was appointed as Black Stars head coach in April.
Ghana will compete against England, Croatia and Panama at this year’s World Cup and Queiroz believes his team is ready to make people happy.
“On behalf of my boys, I just can as a coach guarantee that when you finish [watching] the games, you would want to be proud of them; I am sure of that.”

“The great goal that we have in mind…our duty and our goal is to make people happy and the more you can make more people happy if you win and we are ready to do that” Queiroz said.
