France forward Kylian Mbappe says he is fine and ready to continue competing in the 2026 FIFA World Cup effectively dismissing any concerns that he picked up a major injury in France’s quarterfinal clash against Morocco.

The Real Madrid forward who doubles as France captain was substituted in the 77th minute in Les Bleus’ 2-0 win over the African side to progress to the semifinals.

This marks France’s third semifinal berth at the World Cup in a row under head coach Didier Deschamps who is set to leave his role at the end of the competition.

Despite missing a penalty kick in the first half, Mbappe recovered to score France’s first and assisted Ousmane Dembele for France’s second goal; he has 20 goals in 20 World Cup games and after the game he said,

“We are very happy. We are aware that there is only one way to relax, it’s to win but we still have a long way. We know that what is coming next will be even harder but we are ready for face anything.”

“I’m all good. I got a knock on the ankle, but it’s all good. JP [Mateta] was more able than me to play the last 15 minutes.
