Ahead of a blockbuster semifinal clash against France, Spanish winger Lamine Yamal has stated that his team has no fear against the French.
He said this after Spain beat Belgium 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup to reach the semifinals where they are set to take on France on Tuesday, July 14 in Dallas.
On the other hand, France progressed to the semifinals after beating Morocco 2-0 with forwards Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele scoring in the second half.
After winning the Man of the Match Award in the win over Belgium, Yamal was confident of Spain’s chances against France who have made the semifinals for the third time in a row.
“If France should fear anyone, it’s us. We have knocked them out [before].”

“We have beat them two times. Honestly, I think we’re the two best teams at the World Cup, so we’ll see what happens, but we do not have any fear” he said.

Spain beat France in the 2024 Euros semifinals and in the semifinals at the 2025 UEFA Nations League.
