Brazil midfielder Bruno Guimaraes has vowed to give his best as he looks to help Arsenal win more trophies following his move from Newcastle United.
Guimaraes made the commitment in his first interview after completing his move to the defending Premier League champions.
The 28-year-old former Newcastle captain has reportedly joined Arsenal for $100 million and signed a five-year contract with the Gunners.
Guimaraes was part of Brazil’s 2026 FIFA World Cup squad, which reached the Round of 16 before losing 2-1 to Norway. He missed a penalty in the defeat.
Newcastle Sporting Director Ross Wilson previously said the club did not want to sell Guimaraes, but the midfielder was keen on the move to Arsenal.
“I’m at the point of my life where I need a challenge like this. I want to win trophies, I want to make history and I think I’m in the right place to do it. Joining the winners of the league is always a big opportunity.”
