Brazil winger Savinho has officially joined Tottenham Hotspurs from Manchester City after spending two seasons with the latter.
The 22 year old player joined Spurs for a fee of 75 million pounds with a reported 10 million pounds in add-ons on a five year contract.
Savinho’s signing adds to Tottenham’s massive spending spree in this transfer window that has involved the London side signing Sandro Tonali and Matheus Fernandes for 100 million pounds and 80 million pounds respectively.
Speaking after officially joining the club, Savinho acknowledged that Spurs manager Roberto de Zerbi played an influential role.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity at a brilliant club with one of the best managers in the world. As soon as I spoke to the Head Coach I knew I had to come.”
“He told me he wants to help me reach the highest level, and I believe we can do that together, as a team he said.
With Man City, Savinho won the FA Cup, Community Shield and Carabao Cup.
