The Ocean Network Express (ONE) Pink Cup 2026 brought together golfers, corporate sponsors and health advocates at the Achimota Golf Club in Accra on Saturday, October 17, combining competitive golf with fundraising and breast cancer awareness activities.
Organised by the club’s Ladies Section led by Lady Captain Louanges Kous Mang, the annual tournament formed part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, using the sport to promote education on the disease and support healthcare institutions providing treatment for cancer patients.
The event featured an 18-hole Stableford competition, with male and female golfers competing across different handicap categories. Participants and supporters dressed in pink, creating a strong visual statement of solidarity with breast cancer patients and survivors.
Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, attended as Special Guest of Honour. She was welcomed at the clubhouse with a brief ceremonial golf lesson, adding to the activities that marked the opening of the event.

Ocean Network Express and CalBank PLC were among the leading corporate sponsors, alongside Destination du Soleil, whose support helped bring together sport, corporate participation and community health advocacy.
Fundraising for breast cancer care
Beyond the competition, fundraising and public education remained central to the Pink Cup’s objectives.
Proceeds generated through player registrations and special course activities are traditionally directed towards supporting the Breast Cancer Unit at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, as well as assisting cancer patients at Achimota Hospital who cannot afford treatment.
The initiative provides an opportunity to raise awareness about breast cancer while encouraging support for patients and healthcare facilities. By using golf as a platform for engagement, organisers seek to connect sporting participation with a broader public health cause.

The tournament also highlighted the role corporate partnerships and sporting communities can play in supporting healthcare initiatives beyond the golf course.
