Head coach of Ghana’s U – 20 male team, Jimmy Cobblah has iron clad confidence that Ghana will get the better of their counterparts from Benin when the two teams meet over the weekend.

The Satellites will be hoping to record a convincing win in the first leg of the final round of qualifiers for the African Youth Championships.

The match which was originally slated to be played on July 13 has had to be rescheduled, following government’s decision to place an injunction on all football activities after an investigative piece by Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

Due the absence of football in the country the players have managed to upgrade their fitness after several days of camping at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram.

According to the gaffer the squad have been put in the right shape and mentality and confidence is high.

“The situation was very bad when we started because there was no football kin the country.

We kept pushing them and now I can assure you that they are very ready for victory.

“Ghanaians should look out for victory, we are sure we will be victorious.

“I am not sure about the number of goals because we are not prophets and that is in the hands of God but   I can assure you that we will win,” he stated emphatically.

The first leg will be played at the Cape-Coast Stadium with the return leg in Cotonou a week later.
