Ghana defender Mohammed Salisu is upbeat about adapting to AS Monaco’s system under head coach Adi Hutter.

He said this in a post game interview after playing his first game for Monaco after recovering from a major knee injury that prevented him from playing since joining the team from EPL side Southampton.

Salisu’s debut game ended in a 2-1 win for Monaco over Rennes in the French Ligue 1 and the win moves Monaco to second place in the league standings behind PSG at the time of writing. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Addressing a question about how he executed Hutter’s instructions in his debut game that had him play out the entire duration against Rennes, Salisu said,

“Today I already felt 100% capable, since I managed to play 90 minutes. Once again it was a special match for me, because the first in a long time.”

“We train like we play, so I already knew what to do and what to avoid. So it was really easy for me to adapt.”
