Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council Member, Nana Oduro Sarfo, has debunked claims that the Association isn’t accountable.
He said this in the aftermath of the SaveGhanaFootball Demonstration that took place on February 14 that had several football enthusiasts registered their disagreement over the running of football in Ghana.

The Black Stars first round elimination from the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire spurred football fans to walk on some streets of Accra to protest against football administrators.
One item listed by a convener of the demonstration, Saddick Adams, was for proper accountability of the GFA by Ghana’s parliament.
In response, Oduro Sarfo said, “If they want to know about monies from FIFA, they can go to the Ministry (Youth and Sports) for the Ministry to get them the spreadsheet because the monies from FIFA, when it comes to us, we forward it to the government.”
“It’s not our money. We’ve been made to know that the Black Stars is not our property so we send the money back to the alleged owners of the Black Stars.”
