Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo will be involved in AFC Bournemouth’s squad for its matchup against Arsenal this weekend according to Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola.

Iraola communicated this in his pre-game press conference ahead of Bournemouth’s trip to the Emirates Stadium to take on Arsenal on Saturday, May 4 at 11:30 GMT.

Semenyo was stretchered off in the final minutes of Bournemouth’s 3-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion to a knee injury.

However, the Black Stars forward has apparently recovered from the injury and is likely to be available for selection against Arsenal according to Iraola.

“I was surprised as the next day he woke up, he was feeling better. The knee was not so swollen, we could have some hope with him. There is news this week that the MRI has been clear so Antoine has been doing some things with the team this week.”

“Everyone was not even delighted after Sunday, Antoine is an important player for us, a very good character, everyone loves him; this is very good news for us. He’s going to be involved in the squad and this is the best news for us this week.”
