Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has been named as AFC Bournemouth’s Player of the Month for August after a brilliant start to the English Premier League 2024-2025 season.

The 25 year old has scored twice in three games in the league and played a key role in Bournemouth’s outstanding 3-2 win over Everton at Goodison Park where The Cherries trailed 2-0 in the 85th minute but rallied to get the big win.

Semenyo’s hot start has landed him in rare company as the Black Stars player is one of only four players in the EPL to score or assist in each of the four games played so far in the league.

His fine form has been rewarded with the Player of the Month Award for Bournemouth ahead of the return to club football after the international break. Semenyo played in both of Ghana’ 2025 AFCON qualification games that had the Black Stars lose 1-0 to Angola and draw 1-1 with Niger.

The former Bristol City player’s performances have caught the eyes of former footballer turned pundit Jamie Redknapp who stated that Semenyo is “worth a fortune“.
