Veteran Bechem United winger Augustine Okrah is set to receive a significant amount of money from Tanzanian football league giants Young Africans Sport Club in “outstanding remuneration”.
This is according to a FIFA ruling stemming from Okrah’s departure from Young Africans that is popularly known as YANGA.
In the wake of his unhappy exit from the club, Okrah and his team filed a complaint to FIFA’s Tribunal and the body ruled that YANGA was at fault and has been ordered to pay Okrah $24,000.
YANGA have also been ordered to pay a fine of $3,000 to FIFA and has been warned by the world’s football governing body.
After spending a season with YANGA’s bitter rival, Simba SC, Okrah returned to the Ghana Premier League before joining YANGA in January 2024.
However, his stint was cut short and he returned in time to get registered to compete in the Ghanaian top flight again for Bechem United.

The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko player has since featured twice in the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League in a goalless draw against Aduana Stars in a 2-0 loss to Accra Hearts of Oak.
