The Black Queens have arrived in Casablanca, Morocco, for their first international assignment under new Head Coach Kim Lars Björkegren.
The friendly match against Morocco on Friday, February 21, will offer the Swedish tactician an early opportunity to assess his squad and implement his ideas.

Ghana’s contingent departed Accra in the early hours of Saturday, February 15, as part of a 10-day training tour aimed at building team chemistry and sharpening tactics.
Björkegren, who named his squad shortly after his unveiling, included only four players from the Ghana Women’s Premier League, signalling a mix of experience and fresh talent in his selection.

The team will hold its first training session on Monday, February 17, 2025, setting the stage for a series of intensive preparations ahead of the game.

With 18 players already in camp as of February 17, the squad is expected to grow stronger as the days progress.
This friendly will serve as a key benchmark for the Black Queens as they begin their journey toward the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
