Public Relations Officer of Ghana Cycling Federation, Dennis Moore, is adamant that Yaw Ampofo Ankrah has what it takes to propel less financed sports in his new found capacity as Director-General of the National Sports Authority (NSA).
His comments come in the wake of the veteran sports journalist getting appointed as Director-General of the Authority by President John Dramani Mahama.
Yaw Ampofo Ankrah has served as President of the Ghana Beach Soccer Association for several years and in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports, Dennis Moore believes that the new NSA head will continue pushing less financed sports.
“I am happy that Yaw (Ampofo Ankrah) is in the fold. He being President of Ghana Beach Soccer, I think that Yaw knows whatever it is to propel least financed sports forward. I am very happy with Yaw being the NSA Director, for me, it’s good news.”

Yaw Ampofo Ankrah is expected to work closely with Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams and takes over the NSA at a time of major upheaval at the body with three heads in the past year and has also been dealing with chronic financial challenges.
