The Legon Rugby Stadium was transformed into a health, energy, and unity hub as the RLFG, in partnership with Life Healthcare Centre, hosted a Free Health Screening Day for players.
The event, which was supported by student volunteers from the University of Ghana’s Physiotherapy Department, was a major step in preparing for the 2025 Rugby League 13s Championship, which is scheduled for May 11.
The day featured free health screenings, physiotherapy sessions focused on mobility and injury prevention, and plenty of bonding moments through board games, card games, and music.
A key highlight was the presentation of RLFG’s 5-Year Strategic Plan — a clear roadmap for growth, player welfare, and sustainable development.
In attendance were key figures from the RLFG and Greater Accra Region: Jafaru Mustapha (General Manager), Marshall Nortey (Technical Head), Hilaria Wuaku (Communication Lead), Samuel Asempa, Wisdom Passah, Lois Enin (Medical Team), Riddick Alibah (Regional Manager), Nii Atram Tei (Assistant Regional Manager), Angela Yakubu (Marketing Lead), and Anthony Tawiah (Head of Set Up).

This was more than a game — it was a celebration of wellness, strategy, and connection, and a powerful reminder of rugby league’s heartbeat in Ghana.
