The Nigeria Football Federation has released the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming Unity Cup, with several big names missing from the list.

Notably, Victor Osimhen, Alex Iwobi, Joe Aribo, and Calvin Bassey are all absent, while Felix Agu is only available for training.

Their absence opens the door for fringe players and home-based talents to stake their claim ahead of upcoming qualifiers.

The Unity Cup is a four team tournament set to be held at the G-Tech Community Stadium in Brentford; Nigeria, Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica are competing in the tournament that runs from May 27 to May 31.

Premier League duo Wilfred Ndidi and Frank Onyeka headline the midfield, while Kelechi Iheanacho, Samuel Chukwueze, and Moses Simon bring experience to the attack.

The squad also includes rising stars like Nathan Tella, Cyriel Dessers, and local league performers such as Amas Obasogie and Junior Nduka.

Squad list for the Super Eagles ahead of the Super cup next week

Ghana Black Stars head coach Otto Addo will name his squad for the tournament by the close this week.
