The Black Stars’ confidence is back – Kurt Okraku on Ghana’s recent performances

Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku has expressed optimism about the Black Stars’ surging confidence following strong performances in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Recent victories against Mali and Madagascar have significantly boosted Ghana’s chances of qualifying for the World Cup.

Despite the team’s unprecedented failure to qualify for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco, marking their first absence in 20 years after going winless in the group stage, Okraku highlights a contrasting narrative in the World Cup Qualifiers.

His comments come as the Black Stars prepare for a four-nations tournament in London, starting May 28, 2025, at the Brentford Community Stadium.

“The 🇬🇭Black Stars have had a not-too-stable performance, now the confidence of the boys seems to be back” – Kurt Okraku
