Negotiations between Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey and Arsenal Football Club over a new deal are not advancing as expected.

According to Italian Football insider Fabrizio Romano, there is no agreement between the camps at the time of writing and it is likely that the 32 year old could leave the London club prior to the start of the 2025-2026 season.

ESPN UK also stated that Partey is not expected to re-sign with the Gunners as his contract expires on June 30 five years on after leaving Spanish side Atletico Madrid.

This development comes at a time where Gabby Otchere-Darko, a renowned Ghanaian lawyer who is an avid fa Arsenal of Partey stated recently that, “I’m an Arsenal fan but I advise Thomas Partey to move elsewhere and make some good money for his pension years” on Asaase Radio.

Partey recently won the Footballer of the Year Award at the 2025 Ghana Football Awards; his recent win marks the third time he has won this award.
