Former President of the United States Tennis Association (USTA), Katrina Adams, has stated that bringing her knowledge to the youth of Ghana matters to her.
She made this known in a press conference held ahead of a two day coaching seminar and clinic for tennis coaches and players in Ghana respectively.
Tennis players aged between seven and 17 will get guidance from Adams and former ATP Top 100 player Roger Smith at the clinics that has been put together by the Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF) and Africa10 Foundation (A10).
GTF President Isaac Duah, International Tennis Federation Representative, Amine Makhlouf and A10 Chairperson Shanti Annan, were present at the event.
“The most important thing is to understand why this moment matters to me.”

“As a former professional tennis player and as a black woman, to be able to bring my knowledge and my talent here to the youth in Ghana and to the coaches more importantly to understand the benefits of the sport” Adams said.

Over 30 tennis coaches participated in the seminar held on Saturday, June 21. Scroll down to watch video
