The Ghana Football Association’s Communications Director, Henry Asante Twum, says he is not privy to the exact amount agreed upon as winning bonuses for the Black Queens following their qualification to the quarterfinals of the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
His comments come in response to reports suggesting a specific amount was settled on for the players after advancing from the group stage.
According to him, the GFA, in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, is in ongoing discussions to ensure that all outstanding bonuses are paid, an effort aimed at maintaining harmony within the team camp in Morocco.
“As we speak, I am not privy to how much was approved for the Black Queens in terms of winning bonus, but I am glad that the outstanding per diems have been cleared” – Henry Asante Twum
