Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Okraku, has praised the Black Queens for their spirited performance at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, describing their bronze medal as a symbol of their dedication to Ghana’s pride and football heritage.
Speaking at Kotoka International Airport after the team’s return from Morocco; where they beat reigning champions South Africa to claim third place; Okraku said the team had shown immense passion and commitment.
I think it’s a testament to their dedication to the work,” he said. “They have proven beyond doubt that with the right levels of passion, they truly want to defend the red, gold, and green flag of their dear country.

We are very appreciative of what they have done,” Okraku added. “The turnout here at the airport speaks volumes of the desire and the hope of the country. And the girls are responding to that desire; playing with their hearts for the love of Ghana.
