Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has joined Italian Serie A champions Napoli on a season long loan deal with the option to buy permanently.
The deal was officially concluded on September 1 on the final day of the main transfer window with the buy-back clause becoming mandatory should certain levers be met.
The loan deal is reportedly worth six million euros with a 44 million euros price tag agreed if Napoli are satisfied with the performance of the Danish striker.
Hojlund joined Man United from Serie A side Atalanta two seasons ago but has largely endured a frustrating time at Old Trafford.
The 22 year old scored 23 goals in 95 games in all competitions for Man United while winning the FA Cup prior to his exit from Old Trafford.

In a related development, Manchester United winger Antony has rejoined Spanish side Real Betis but this time on a permanent deal after impressing during his loan spell.
The deal is reportedly worth 25 million euros.
