Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn doesn’t believe that Mexican boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez will have a rematch with Terence Crawford.
The celebrated British promoter who leads Matchroom Boxing said this according to the Ring Magazine in the aftermath of Canelo’s high profile bout against Crawford.
Crawford beat Canelo Alvarez via unanimous decision at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to become the undisputed super middleweight world champion.
Since the bout, there has been serious talk of a rematch next year and touching on the subject, Hearn had a negative response on the possibility of a rematch.
“I don’t think Canelo [Alvarez] will want the rematch. It’s very unusual for Canelo to go into a fight without a rematch clause but for me, I just can’t see Canelo going, yes, I want to run that back” Hearn said.

The loss to Crawford is the third in Canelo’s professional career; his record stands at 63 wins, three losses and two draws while Crawford’s record improved to 42 wins in 42 bouts.
