Boxing’s undisputed super middleweight champion of the world, Terence Crawford, has stated that he will never allow his children to go into boxing; Crawford has seven children.
Crawford, who turns 38 years on Sunday, September 28 recently won his iconic bout against Mexican superstar Saul Canelo Alvarez with a unanimous decision to scoop up all four belts in the division.
The Omaha, Nebraska native shocked all by climbing three weight classes to beat Canelo Alvarez with a brilliant display at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
However, in an interview on former NFL quarterback Cam Newton’s podcast, Crawford, who is yet to lose a bout in 42 professional fights said that he will never allow his children to pick up the sport of boxing and American football because of head trauma connected to both sports.

“No no; football and boxing they are the two sports that I will not allow [my kids to participate in]. I already told them; [there’s] too much head trauma. I tell my kids, I boxed, I took all the damage for y’all so y’all can be something I wasn’t.”

“Boxing it may look all glitter and glamour but your dad has been through hell in this sport and I would never want you all to go through that, never in life” he said on Can Newton’s 4th and 1 Podcast.
