President of the United States of America Donald Trump says he will change the location of some games in the 2026 FIFA World Cup if those locations are deemed dangerous host cities.

He said this in an address at the Oval Office at the White House on the 2026 FIFA World Cup games that will be co-hosted by the US, Canada and Mexico.

In his address, Trump mentioned cities that are strong holds of the Democratic Party as cities that could miss out on hosting the games because they are deemed too dangerous.

San Francisco, Seattle and Los Angeles are part of the 11 US cities earmarked to host games in the expanded World Cup but have been highlighted by Trump as possible host cities that could lose their hosting rights.

“It will be safe for the World Cup. “If I think it isn’t safe, we’ll move it into a different city.”

“If any city we think is going to be even a little bit dangerous for the World Cup, or for the Olympics, but for the World Cup in particular, because they’re playing in so many cities, we won’t allow it to go. We’ll move it around a little bit” Trump said according to the BBC.
