Former footballer turned pundit Jamie Redknapp has heaped heavy praise on Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo by describing him as a unique talent who is fantastic to see.
The former Liverpool midfielder who works as a pundit for British media outlet Sky Sports made these comments about the Black Stars player after AFC Bournemouth beat Fulham 3-1.
Ryan Sessegnon scored for Fulham in the 70th minute but Semenyo’s brilliant goal off a solo run led to the equalizer in the 78th minute.
Semenyo assisted Justin Kluivert’s bullet strike before scoring his second goal on a very rainy night at the Vitality Stadium by slotting home to complete a sweeping counter attacking move prompting Redknapp to remark,
“It was a hard night to play football but it didn’t matter to Semenyo. He just glides across that surface.”

“An incredible, unique talent. So fantastic to see. Doesn’t matter if it’s right foot, left foot, makes no difference for him.”

“A brilliant night for Bournemouth, because they were struggling at one point and you thought, ‘How are they going to turn this around? But when you have that number 24 in your team, you have a chance.”

Semenyo is part of Ghana’s squad that will play against C.A.R. and Comoros on October 8 and October 12 in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
