GFA’s Player Status Committee Bans Two Clubs for Fraudulent Registration of Anthony Aboagye

The Player Status Committee (PSC) has imposed a one-year ban on Supreme Babies FC and Mosbees Soccer Agency FC, prohibiting them from participating in any football-related activities. The suspension takes immediate effect and will remain in force until October 6, 2026.

This decision is in line with Article 21.1 of the GFA Disciplinary Code (2019), which states:

“Anyone who, in football-related activities, forges a document, falsifies an authentic document, or uses a forged or falsified document shall be sanctioned with a fine and a ban of at least six months or for a period not less than 12 months.”

The ruling stems from the fraudulent registration of player Anthony Aboagye, who petitioned the PSC after discovering that Mosbees Soccer Agency FC had registered him without his consent and with false personal details.

Aboagye explained that he joined JMG Academy in 2016 and later moved to its Mali branch in September that same year. When he returned to Ghana in 2024 and attempted to sign for Rumark FC, it was uncovered that he was already registered under Mosbees Soccer Agency FC.

Following his petition, the PSC investigated the matter. During the hearing, representatives of Mosbees Soccer Agency admitted to falsifying the player’s documents and pleaded for leniency.

Further findings showed that Mr Paul Kingsford Abeokuta Ephraim, owner of Mosbees Soccer Agency FC, also owned Supreme Babies FC  the first club that had initially registered the player before he was later re-registered by Mosbees Soccer Agency FC.

After examining the evidence, the PSC concluded that the player was not complicit in the fraudulent act. The Committee therefore ordered that all records of the player’s unlawful registration be deleted from the system and ruled that Anthony Aboagye is free to register with any club of his choice using his correct information.
