The Golden State Warriors suffered an embarrassing 102-126 loss to defending NBA Champions the Oklahoma City Thunder but responded in brilliant fashion to beat the fast rising San Antonio Spurs.

The Warriors, led by Steph Curry’s 46 point performance, beat the Spurs 125-120 to knock off Victor Wembanyama’s triple double.

The French international bagged 31 points, 10 assists and 15 rebounds in 36 minutes in the loss but Curry believes the win was needed as a response to the bad loss to the OKC Thunder in the prior game.

“When you lose, you got to assess what’s going on. Don’t be afraid of changes. That means everybody being ready to adapt to whatever you have to do.”

“We’ve been around the block long enough and have enough experience to know we can address stuff and not make it personal. It’s everybody taking accountability and ownership” Curry said to ESPN.

The Warriors win over Spurs improved the team’s record to seven wins and six losses ahead of another matchup against San Antonio on Saturday, November 15 but this time in the NBA Cup.
