IBF, WBA and WBC heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk has stated that he is looking forward to a fight with American heavy puncher Deontay Wilder.
The Ukrainian boxer made this call with an eye for a bout in 2026 after relinquishing his WBO heavyweight title recently and now belongs to British boxer Fabio Wardley
In July, Usyk beat British boxer Daniel Dubois to become undisputed heavyweight champion for the second time and after dominating British fighters like Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury in recent years, Usyk is aiming at a big bout against Wilder.
“I continue fighting next year. I want to fight Deontay Wilder. I think it’s interesting. He is a world champion guy. A very famous and strong guy.”

“One of the great heavyweights of the last 10 years. I spoke with my team and said he is the first option” Usyk said according to Boxing King Media.

Despite being one of the biggest names in the sport, Wilder has lost four times in his last six bouts including two losses to Fury and an embarrassing knockout loss to China’s Zhilei Zhang.
