Reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Award winner Shai Gilgeous-Alexander struggled in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals after starring in Game 5 to put OKC up 3-2 in the series.
Gilgeous-Alexander registered 15 points and four assists in 28 minutes in OKC’s 91-118 loss to the San Antonio Spurs in Game 6.
The Spurs win tied the series at 3-3 heading to Game 7 which takes place on Sunday, May 31 in Oklahoma City.
On the other hand, Victor Wembanyama excelled for San Antonio as he produced 28 points and 10 rebounds in 28 minutes in the win.
Speaking after the loss to reporters, Gilgeous-Alexander reflected on his poor shooting efficiency on the back of scoring just six of 18 field goal shot attempts.

“A lot of the shots that I’m shooting, I’ve shot plenty of times before and they feel good. They’re just not going in.

“But it’s too late to abandon my work and abandon my game and who I am. This late in the season, I’ve got to trust it and live or die by it” Gilgeous-Alexander said.
