NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo has officially switched his jersey number from 34 to 7 after joining the Miami Heat from the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Greek player was traded from the Bucks to the Heat last month for a package that had Tyler Herro and a hoard of draft picks moved in the opposite direction.
Prior to the trade, Antetokounmpo had spent his entire NBA career with the Bucks who drafted him 15th overall in the 2013 NBA Draft.
Throughout his stay with Milwaukee, the 6 foot 11 inch star wore the jersey number 34 but will switch to jersey number 7 after joining Miami Heat and went on to deliver his farewell message by stating,
“I want you to hear it from my mouth. The city of Milwaukee will always be in my heart. This is my home.”

“I hope that I was able to represent them the best that I could and I was like them. I showed up to work, did everything that I was willing to do, all the dirty work.”
