Croatia’s Football Federation has paid a glowing tribute to Zlatko Dalic who left his role as head coach of the European nation’s Men’s Football Team.
Dalic stepped down from his role on Wednesday, July 8 ending his nine year run with the team that had Croatia finish in second and third place respectively at the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cup.
However, Dalic’s third run with Croatia at the FIFA World Cup ended in a round of 32 stage exit after suffering a 2-1 loss to Portugal in controversial fashion.
Croatia defender Josko Gvardiol scored what looked to be the equaliser against Portugal but the goal was chopped off after a VAR review. Reacting to the news, the Croatia FA stated that, (Click highlighted text to read full story)
