Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro believes the club can enjoy a much better season after returning to pre-season following Spain’s World Cup triumph.
Porro, who was part of Spain’s World Cup-winning squad, received a warm welcome from Tottenham supporters and staff after returning from his post-tournament break.
Speaking after his return, the Spanish defender expressed his appreciation for the reception and stressed the importance of the connection between the players, supporters and the club.
“It’s special when you see every people here after the World Cup. The most important is this connection, family. Thank you so much for everything and come on this year because it’s a good year for us,” Porro said.
His optimism comes after a difficult 2025/26 campaign for Tottenham.
Spurs narrowly avoided an unprecedented relegation from the Premier League, finishing 17th in the table, just two points above the relegation zone.
A crucial victory over Everton on the final day ultimately secured their top-flight status.
With a new season now approaching, Porro is confident Tottenham can put their struggles behind them and produce a stronger campaign.
