Black Stars midfielder Elisha Owusu has officially sealed a move from French Ligue 1 side AJ Auxerre to Turkish Super League side Erzurumspor. (Scroll down to watch video of Owusu’s transfer)
Owusu’s three and a half year stint at Auxerre came to an end following his move that was initially reported earlier this month.
In the 2025-2026 season, Owusu spent time as captain of the club and helped Auxerre to avoid relegation to Ligue 2.
He played 29 games in all competitions and featured in three out of four games for Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup that had the Black Stars exit at the round of 32 stage.
“I’m very excited to be here. I can’t wait to step on to the pitch, fight for Erzurumspor and meet all of you” Owusu said in a video posted on the club’s page on X.

28 year old Owusu was born in France to Ghanaian parents and also represented Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
