Real Madrid head coach Jose Mourinho says French forward Kylian Mbappe is an incredible player after Mbappe scored a hat-trick of goals.
The former AS Monaco player scored three times in Real Madrid’s 4-1 win over Real Sociedad in the second round of Spanish La Liga games in the 2026-2027 season.
Mbappe scored the game’s first in the first half and added two more goals in the second half to seal the emphatic win despite Madrid’s struggles earlier in the game.
The game also marked the first win in Jose Mourinho’s return to the Santiago Benarbeu since taking over as Real Madrid head coach for the second time in his career.
“This guy [Mbappé] is incredible. I’m happy that he made history at the World Cup [becoming the tournament’s all-time leading scorer]. He looks hungry to make history with Real Madrid.”
“I’m very happy with him, technically there’s nothing to say obviously, but in the group, he’s taking responsibility, he got back two days early from his holiday” Mourinho said.
